Submission Guidelines

  •  Authors are invited to submit papers through E-mail at tujes@tu.edu.ly
  •  TUJES believes that peer-review needs to be efficient, rigorous, and fair for everyone involved.
  •  In TUJES journal, the peer-review is a single-blind assessment with at least two independent reviewers, followed by a final acceptance/rejection decision by the Editor-in-Chief, or another academic editor approved by the Editor-in-Chief.
  •  All authors will receive their proof of publication within a couple of weeks of publication.

Types of Contributions

Tobruk University Journal of Engineering Sciences accepts only the following types of contributions: original research papers, review articles, surveys, and case studies.

The number of submitted research pages for publication should not be less than six pages and should be no more than twenty typeset pages.

Manuscript Preparation

TUJES Word and LaTex templates contain guidance text for composing and formatting the manuscript.

All guidance text should be removed from the manuscript prior to submission to the journal, failure to do so will result in the manuscript not being considered for review.

Body of the Manuscript

Abstract: should briefly summarize the aim, findings, or purpose of the article, avoiding the use of abbreviations as possible with no references citation. Three keywords representing the main content of the article are following the abstract.

Introduction: should explain the background of the study, its aims, a summary of the existing literature and why this study is necessary.

Discussion: for research articles, this section should discuss the implications of the findings in the context of existing research and highlight the limitations of the study. For methodology manuscripts, this section should include a discussion of any practical or operational issues involved in performing the study.

Results: this should include the findings of the study including results of statistical analysis which must be included either in the text or as tables and figures.

Conclusions: this should state clearly the main conclusions and provide an explanation of the importance and relevance of the study to the field.

Conflict of Interest (COI): is anything that interferes with, or could reasonably be perceived as interfering with, the full and objective presentation, peer review, or publication of research articles submitted to TUJES journal. If you do not have any competing interests, please state ”The authors declare no conflicts of interest regarding the publication of this paper.” in this section.

References: for citations of references, square brackets and consecutive numbers are used. Examples of the basic reference style are provided in the TUJES manuscript template.
